Physical-singer/Vocal Dancer/Choreographer/Teacher: graduated from the London Contemporary Dance School, Etoile Chaville  also holds a Master degree in Foreign Languages. The experience of languages also have an impact on her work. Extensive voice studies in France and London helped her to open the door to the full power and expressivity of her voice. On her way, she crosspathed with artists like Dominique Petit, Kilina Crémona, Susanne Buirge, Yuval Pick, Carolyn Carlson and more recently Rosalind crisp.

In 2005, she was part of an apprenticeship with Maresa von Stockert's dance theater company in   London. Recently, she worked for the French choreographer Karine Saporta,  Heike Hennig's dance company, and she is currently  performing for the Deutsche Oper. She also performed under the direction of opera director  Frederic Wake Waker  at Mica Moca.  Etoile has  collaborated with various artists, choreographer Branka Zgonjanin,musician Merakhaazan, visual artist Poppy Arnold, filmakers Pascal Gaze and  Damien Steck .

For the last five years, Etoile has been further investigating  the process of Instant Composition. She  has performed improvisations at venue like Tanzfabrik Berlin, Studio Labor Gras,or Mica Moca. She was  also a guest at Petunien improvisation serie and at the poetry Festival organised by Sabine Venaruzzo in  Museaav Nizza .  She regularly performs pieces instantly composed in Art Galleries.

During the last two years she has developed a strong research in solo improvisations in collaboration with improviser Meltem Nil, and focused on duet improvisation with the dancer Ingo Reulecke.

Sten Rudstrom has been her main improvisation teacher.  She is strongly influenced by his teaching method called Action Theater™ . Action Theater Improvisation trainings integrate movement, vocalization and speech into present expression. Etoile is one of the few improvisers in Europe to be registered teacher (here) in Action Theater™. She has been certified by Ruth Zaporah  who pionnered the form. Etoile is also the first and only French Action Theater teacher (here).

Etoile is a founding member of ACTION THEATER BERLIN: a non-profit organisation which promotes the practice of Action Theater™ and strengthen the public awareness of this improvisational performance training. 

Her interest in somatics techniques and methods respecting and encouraging the natural organisation of the body has been going increasingly since the last few years. She was part  of the 2009 flow yoga teacher training directed by Beate Cuson at Studio Moveo in Berlin where she lives (schedule here).
